| WHEELIE wonderful Norton Wheelers got into gear and used pedal power to raise more than £400 for cancer patients. | ||||||||||||||
| The big-hearted team braved wet conditions to complete a 60 mile Tour of the Peak District for the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Appeal. | ||||||||||||||
| Club member Jon Cooper (39), of Fulwood, said: "My dad Peter and friend Jeannette Hardy have both been very brave recovering from cancer treatment. | ||||||||||||||
| "So I was delighted when the Norton Wheelers got on board with a charity ride to help others facing cancer." | ||||||||||||||
| Club members Darrell Bradbury, Lynn Bland, Andy Dunn, Dave Beresford, Paul Sleaford, Rob Richards, Sam Smith, Kev and Tom Saville,Hilary Bloor, Ann Watmore, Steve Hancock and Richard Hakes rolled out on the ride this summer. | ||||||||||||||
| They completed a route which started at The Beauchief Hotel, off Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, and covered Hathersage, Bradwell, Monsall Head, Rowlsey, Baslow and back to The Beauchief. | ||||||||||||||
| Riders drained an unsuspecting Rowlsey cafe of tea and cakes but cut a well-meaning orange streak through the dales and helped raise £410 for the Sheffield hospital. | ||||||||||||||
